My coaching encompasses personal and interpersonal communication, relationships, goal setting, personal effectiveness and mindset. I have worked with young adults, adults in transitions, and parents. My clients have reported shifts in relationships, better understanding of schedule management, successful career changes, and improved autonomy.
I studied Feng Shui in the BTB Masters Training Program, this taught me to observe people and understand how their mind, body and spirit are affected by their energetic interaction with their environments.
I have worked with clients to create paths where before there were none. My clients have removed blocks and restrictions, some of which were self-imposed, and given themselves permission to think and act in new ways that are liberating.
Before I was a coach, I earned my degree in Psychology at the University of Windsor in Canada before returning to Jamaica where I met a modeling scout. I grabbed my passport and toothbrush and jetted off to London to seek my fortune. In London I worked with major designers, then on to Paris and Milan for a few seasons until I decided to make New York my home. I was with Wilhelmina Models for about 15 years.
When I had children, they became my priority. The process of them becoming my priority didn’t happen overnight. It was difficult, it took years, and was based on resolving many different conflicts, based on emotion, economics, and personal goals. I have worked, and relied on aftercare, babysitters, and the kindness of friends. I have stayed home, and through my gratitude and joy, fought resentment and fear. I have seen stay at home, and working mothers who feel as though they are failing their children, and I have seen those who feel they are experiencing success.
I see the growth of my children and how they handle themselves in a variety of situations, and I am at peace when I hear their outlook and strategies for managing their lives. They are aware, they consciously process situations as they occur, and have takeaways which they are able to apply to other areas of their lives.
I work with you, the Stay At Home Mom because I understand the conflict you experience daily. Your influence on your family is creating the fabric of our society and each moment is more precious than you think. Sometimes that moment will have a significant impact on you, or your child, or on your relationships. I want to help you get plugged in, so when these moments happen, you are connected, your response is current and meaningful because you have chosen to be conscious.
